MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

As the Millennium year draws to a close, we can reflect on a busy year of entertainment and events to mark this momentous occasion, and look forward to meeting the challenges of 2001 and the 21st century.

Hurst Village Society continues to play a significant role in the development of village and community life, through many different aspects including work with the Parish Council on the Hurst Design Statement, support of local residents campaigning against development of Dorndon House, organising social events, and tree and hedge-planting.

The Annual General Meeting of the Village Society will be held on 2 March 2001. This will be your chance to join the Committee and take an active role in community life. If you would like to know more about Hurst Village Society, please contact one of the current Committee members.

We wish all our readers a Merry Christmas and Happy and Peaceful New Year
