GO "MAD" IN MARCH AT THE MAD HATTER'S BALL ON SATURDAY 2 MARCH

Hurst Football Club is staging a Mad Hatter's Ball on Saturday 2 March in the Large Village Hall. This replaces the usual Valentine's Day Dance. Tickets cost £10, which includes a buffet, and can be bought from the Elephant and Castle pub, or Jeff Pitt on 0118 934 xxxx.

The Mad Hatter's Ball is one of the several fund-raising events being organised this year by the Football Club in aid of the building fund for the new pavilion. Another date for your diary is Jazz in the Park on Saturday 6 July.

The Club has received planning permission for its new pavilion and pitch at Hinton Road. These plans are available for anyone to see – contact Jeff, or view them at Wokingham District Council offices in Shute End. Landowner Alan Godsal will be working with the Club on landscaping and planting.

Christmas Dinner Dance 2002

Make a note in your diary now! This year's HVS dinner dance will take place on Saturday 7 December in the Large Village Hall. Penny Curry has been booked to prepare a festive dinner, and Village Society committee members will be selling tickets from October.
