POPPY APPEAL

The annual Poppy Appeal by the Royal British Legion closed at the end of May having raised £1,300 towards the national total of £20 million. George Claridge was delighted with the village contribution, which was raised through door-to-door collections, events and dinners.

The next RBL event will be the Dug Out Supper on 16 November in the Village Hall. Tickets are £10 and George assures everyone that there will be first-class entertainment and a first-class meal.
