Welcome to the Pitwoods at the Village Stores and PO

Village Stores and Post Office When Bill and Val Pitwood with their daughters Sally and Tammy moved to Hurst from the Southampton area they were looking for peace and quiet in the countryside. But on their second day at the Village Stores and Post Office they were robbed! In spite of this dramatic start to their new careers they are now settling in and looking forward to becoming part of the village.

"We are very passionate about the importance of the village Post Office," writes Bill Pitwood. "We hope you will continue to support us, as you did our predecessors Steve and Lesley.

"During the first few weeks we have been stocking up and introducing new lines. This will be followed by a spring clean, tidying up and re-arranging. Please be patient with us while we are 'finding our feet' - particularly while I'm bluffing my way through the sub-postmaster's job!

"Thank you all for the warm welcome you have extended to us."
