Summer Round-up

It has been an eventful summer, not least because of the record rainfall and flooding. Now, with the holiday exodus behind us, it is time to enjoy all the end of summer activities.

The HVS is holding a bumper Quiz Night on Friday, 21st September. If you want to enjoy a great communal evening, come along to the Village Hall and show off your general knowledge.

Autumn, of course, means tidying up the garden and sweeping up leaves. The Parish Council is organising its usual Autumn Clean-up on Saturday, 27th October.

HVS pledges £5,000

The Parish Council has drawn up a project for enhancing the village centre. They hope to start work in October and would like some more sponsors for the scheme. The HVS has given a pledge for £5,000 towards this welcome improvement.
