Cycle, Run or Walk (CRoW), the annual fundraising event for the Berkshire Churches' Trust, may have to change its name to Ride and Stride, as last year five horse riders took part!

This year's CRoW is on Saturday 8th September, part of National Heritage weekend. If you would like to participate or sponsor someone else, why not contact your church representative? Nationally, there is a £1.5 billion repair bill for the country's church buildings, and this event, now in its 21st year in the county, raises money specifically for repairs and renovations. Participants visit as many churches as possible in eight hours, which can include those in neighbouring counties. They may cycle, run or walk (or ride, with permission from the organisers for insurance purposes).

The less active may seek sponsorship as a steward at their own church, by offering refreshment to the weary and providing some information about the church to visitors.
